SECTION ONE: Membership shall be automatic to any Tanzanian by birth or naturalization residing in the State of Kansas and to those Tanzanians who are currently residing outside the state of Kansas but willingly continue to fully practice their membership with TAWICHITA. SECTION TWO: To be and remain a member, one shall pay a non-refundable membership fee per fiscal year, which expires one year from the date payment was received by TAWICHITA. Legally married couples will qualify for a 15% percent discount of the membership fee. The membership fee is subject to change. SECTION THREE: Members shall participate in annual general meetings and all undertakings of the association. Members shall participate in at least 2/3 of the meetings during the fiscal year. SECTION FOUR: Members will be required to maintain their membership status to continue to enjoy the membership benefits offered by TAWICHITA. SECTION FIVE: Members have rights to: a) Vote b) Seek position of leadership in the association c) Freedom of expression d) Attend all membership meetings e) Participate in association sponsored events per regulations of the events f) To scrutinize the association leadership SECTION SIX: There shall be at least three general meetings within each fiscal year. SECTION SEVEN: The association's fiscal year will be from October 1st through September 30th ARTICLE THREE: MEMBER’S RESPONSIBILITY SECTION ONE: Member(s) shall contact the two leaders on duty for in that month prior to contacting the President, The Secretary or Treasurer, at the time of need or difficulty. SECTION TWO: Member(s) shall renew membership each year by paying their annual membership fee. SECTION THREE: Members shall attend all general meeting requiring a vote in person or online. SECTION FOUR: Member(s) shall assist officers in the recruitment of new members. SECTION FIVE: Member(s) shall inform the association of changes in address and telephone number(s). SECTION SIX: During the meetings, members shall: a) Arrive on time. b) Conduct themselves with courtesy and respect the views of other members at all meetings. c) Follow rules of order to keep meetings orderly and productive. |
